So, what did I buy on our fantastic post Boxing Day adventure?
I looked at and tried on a ton of stuff, which was nice. Normally I need to order things online, so it was a treat to be able to check out things in person. A lot of things that were on my wish list didn't end up making the cut once I saw them in person. Either I was disappointed with the quality, or the fit, or couldn't bring myself to spend the cash, even at significant savings. Here's the list of things that actually made it home with me, with a few being impulse buys, rather than my carefully planned shopping list:
(Bear with me, it's a long list, but it's all pictures and few words :)
|
Asmar bamboo tees x2 (pink and navy) |
|
BR event pad in black and grey |
|
Mine came with '666' pre installed? |
|
Asmar City jacket. I bought a black one earlier in the fall for riding, but the pink was calling my name for daily use in our dark rainy winters. In my defense, it was the last one and marked down to $75 |
|
Can never have too many. |
|
Bridget approved |
|
Cheap gloves. Again, can never have too many |
|
Asmar polka dot pony sunshirt. This feels too heavy to be a sunshirt, but it's cute and is super flattering on. |
|
Under Armour shirt. The most comfortable thing ever. |
|
BR Halter. Like but don't love because it says 'Horses 4 ever' or something like that all over it. But it was in the 9$ clearance bin and B needed a new barn halter! She's confident enough in her pony tude to advertise her love of horses too :) |
Can you tell the Asmar stuff was getting cleared out? Also, can you tell I am a fan?
The best part about this entire shopping spree was that I spent less than $300 all in, including lunch!
We also bought a heap of stuff for the house, so G was also happy with our day. We unanimously voted to make this an annual event. I'm in!
Particularly as I didn't buy a lot of things I actually *needed* like, a saddle...a dressage bridle, a new girth...oh well, there's always next time.
Nice haul!! I love Asmar too and have been eyeing that jacket. So far I've only bought their stuff on clearance since it's just a bit high priced for my taste otherwise. There are a few things I'd buy full priced (show shirts because they look AMAZING) but otherwise I've been waiting for stuff to go on clearance.
ReplyDeleteIt's crazy high priced (at least for my budget). If it wasn't for huge sales I'd be admiring from afar.
DeleteI love cute riding shirts!
ReplyDeleteI think you can never have too many :)
DeleteLove that polka dot shirt!
ReplyDeleteThe polka dots are actually tiny horses!
DeleteYou won the jackpot. I love the polka dot shirt and I laughed at the '666' number pre-installed. I am so jealous.
ReplyDeleteI was comparing shopping notes with my barn mates, and I think they did even better! Next year I might need a second trip, one with them and one with G?
DeleteI love that jacket!!
ReplyDeleteCute waterproof coats you can ride in are a necessity around here. Preferably two, so you always have a dry one!
DeleteI've never tried on anything asmar but the stuff is cute. Maybe I'll have to give it a shot!
ReplyDeleteI do like it, but I'd recommend if you can find a good sale it's worth a try. At regular price, I'm not sure the value is there, except maybe some of the riding coats.
DeleteVery nice!! I was eyeing that Asmar jacket since you posted it back when you got the black one, but then my hubby bought me a very nice waterproof trench coat for Christmas, so I'm good there! But the pink is SUPER cute!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a very thoughtful gift! The pink is VERY bold in person, like almost hi vis!
DeleteI keep drooling over the Asmar coats but I never seem to find them in my size to try on, never mind on sale
ReplyDeleteThe tack store we visited seemed to carry Asmar stuff almost exclusively, check out Bates Tack if you're ever in the Langley area!
DeleteAHAHAHAHA 666!!!!
ReplyDeleteProbably the reason it was in the bottom of the clearance bin! I'm hoping it will give us some extra bad ass street cred ;)
