I'm writing this at noon, and I've already:
-Worked half a day
-Been to the barn, groomed 2 horses, rode 1:
It rained. Pony was really spooky and hot. We got soaked and muddy. It was still fun. |
-Ran some errands, including buying Bridget's Christmas present (evil laugh):
I got her the sparkly festive one at least?
-Went for a run, had a shower, made lunch and caught up on all the blogs.
Granted, this is a small place so I spend almost zero time commuting anywhere, and I will be in bed by 8, but still...I think I could get used to this!
Haha good for you. I could not so 4am if my life depended on it.
ReplyDeleteIt's hard! True story - I had a christmas party to go to last night and was so exhausted by midnight I couldn't even drive myself home. And I wasn't drinking either :)
Deleteat this latitude (51), i find myself in bed between 8 and 9 lately. but i wake up when the newspaper arrives and then lie there thinking about horses til 6 when i get up: )
ReplyDeletei look forward to the day (year) when i can ride my horse down a street and actually take a photo of it.
Normally she's fine, but that photo yesterday was maybe a little risky! She was feeling really good, so it was all about taking a picture and still keeping both hands on the wheel :)
Deleteoh, i forgot to mention, in college, i worked the night shift, 12-7, and went straight to the university for a few classes and crashed in my car. good times.
ReplyDeleteI would love to be college age again - I don't recall ever being tired!
DeleteHa ha ha! Love B's Christmas gift. She'll love it ;)
ReplyDeleteI actually do think she'll like it better than the little jumping bat I'm using currently. But I may have to get her something edible as well so she'll still want to be friends with me!
DeleteMy favorite shift to work was Noon to 7. I still had time to socialize after and I could ride in the morning. :)
ReplyDeleteThat would be my dream shift!
DeleteYou can't NOT have a sparkly crop hehehe. GLITTER PEOPLE! GLITTER! Anyway, I love work 12-7 or split shifts. Especially during the summer. But now that I'm "important" at work... I will be seeing a lot more 12-hours. TAKE IT WHEN YOU CAN GET IT! :)
ReplyDeleteSince she's a pony, I think sparky glitter stuff is even more of a requirement!
DeleteAgreed, I take whatever work I can get. Congrats on your promotion :)
Ooh I am so envious of your current work schedule--the 4:30 am part is a bit extreme but you can't beat having all that time for horsies, exercise & errands! :)
ReplyDeleteso much stuff done!! that's kinda my fave thing about working early - all the hard stuff for the day is wrapped up in time to enjoy the whole afternoon - evening!
